Refresher & Advanced Driving

For pupils who have passed their test and just need a confidence boost, or if you have not driven for some time, we can offer refresher driving courses or a motorway module in both manual and automatic cars.

Whatever the reason, Happy Hour School of Motoring can design a specific programme to suit your needs. The Happy Hour Instructor can assess your driving ability and advise you of any weaknesses in your driving. The Instructor will recommend the driver training course which is most suited to you and give an estimate of the number of hours required. You can also state any areas that you may want to improve.

Some topics that you may want to work on are:

  • car control
  • road procedure
  • parking
  • town driving
  • rural driving
  • motorway driving

Advanced Driving Courses

You can book an advanced course through Happy Hour, IAM and RoSPA.

Advanced driver training is designed to improve your driving skills and to improve your driving awareness. By doing this you will increase your driving skills and lower risks on the roads. Most drivers can be trained to reach the advanced standard and improve road safety.

Why choose RoSPA and IAM

Full training and the test fee can be obtained for around £99 IAM and RoSPA. It should also be noted that taking the ADI route tends to be significantly more expensive than going through IAM and RoSPA. Happy Hour recommend that you use these groups because it is more cost effective.

Knockhill Skid Control Avoidance

Courses for skid control can take place at Knockhill. Courses can be provided for beginners or advanced drivers, the course will be tailored to suit individual needs. By developing skid control this will raise your awareness and confidence to cope with all sorts of weather conditions.

“I learned to drive with Happy Hour School of Motoring. I passed my test first time with 2 minor faults. It was a challenging but enjoyable experience. The support from my instructor and the back up from Happy Hour set me in good form and preparation for my driving test. My younger sister is now learning with Happy Hour and we would both highly recommend the company.”
